Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) located in North Philadelphia is accepting applications for long-term substitute position that will start on 12/03/18 and proceed to the end of the school year. The candidate duties will include overseeing the 2nd-grade classroom from the December to February. After February, the candidate will be a building substitute who will provide continual instructional support in ELA and Math within the building

Responsibilities will also include:

• Develop lesson plans and analyze tasks that translate lessons into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Use instructional materials to provide individualized and small group instruction that adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
• Revises existing curricular materials, including unit plans and assessments, in response to student achievement data.
• Develop assessments that measure progress toward academic standards.
• Ensure that students master grade level standards
• Implement the school’s policies and procedures regarding student conduct and expectations.
• Student-centered, outcome-based teaching philosophy and pedagogy.
• Actively participate in grade-level meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development to gather information about student progress 
• Works collaboratively with instructional staff and parents to champion a high-quality education for every student.

 Qualifications include: 

• Bachelor's degree 
• Appropriate Certifications include PK-4, K-6, or Early Childhood N-3
