Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) located in North Philadelphia is accepting applications for a part time High School English Language Paraprofessional for the 2018-19 school year. We are currently seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) part-time para-educator to work 5.5 hours per day at the high school level, primarily assisting English learners in their content area classes as well as other departmental duties.  EACS is a safe, structured, supportive and disciplined environment in which to work. The Academy has 11th grade test scores above the city of Philadelphia average and value added math and reading proficiency growth among the highest in Pennsylvania. Students graduate at a rate exceeding 90% and drop out at a rate of only 1%.  For four consecutive years, EACS has been recognized for its academic achievement by U.S. News and World Report and was awarded with a silver and bronze medal.   EACS is committed to tailoring curriculum and instruction to the needs of our student body.  All applicants must have the appropriate certification, current Act 168, FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal and Child Abuse background checks.  Resume, clearances, and a minimum of 48 college credits or an Associates degree are required.
