Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) located in North Philadelphia is accepting applications for a full time Elementary School Behavior Support Manager for the 2018-19 school year. EACS is a safe, structured, supportive and disciplined environment in which to teach. The Academy has 11th grade test scores above the city of Philadelphia average and value added math and reading proficiency growth among the highest in Pennsylvania. Students graduate at a rate exceeding 90% and drop out at a rate of only 1%. For four consecutive years, EACS has been recognized for its academic achievement by U.S. News and World Report and was awarded with silver and bronze medals. EACS is committed to tailoring curriculum and instruction to the needs of our student body.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the teaching staff as an additional resource to work individually and in small groups to support and promote positive student behavior.
- Work with students who may be pulled from regular instruction for behavior reasons and work individually or in small groups to move students forward behaviorally and academically.
- Implement the school’s policies and procedures regarding student conduct and expectations.
- Student - centered, outcome - based teaching philosophy and pedagogy.
- Actively participate in grade-level meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development to gather information about student progress
- Works collaboratively with instructional staff and parents to champion a high-quality education for every student.
