Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) located in North Philadelphia is accepting applications for an immediate opening for a  part time high school Social Studies teachers for the 2017-18 school year. EACS is a safe, structured, supportive and disciplined environment in which to teach. The Academy has 11th grade test scores above the city of Philadelphia average and value added math and reading proficiency growth among the highest in Pennsylvania. Students graduate at a rate exceeding 90% and drop out at a rate of only 1%.  For four consecutive years, EACS has been recognized for its academic achievement by U.S. News and World Report and was awarded with  silver and bronze medals.   EACS is committed to tailoring curriculum and instruction to the needs of our student body.  All applicants must have current FBI fingerprints, PA Criminal, Child Abuse and ACT 168 background checks, as well as the appropriate instructional certification.  Spanish fluency is desired but not required.
